The 2018 Classic City Fringe Festival is a 501c3 Nonprofit festival that I volunteer for annually. I help with promotions, fundraising, production, and organization of the festival as a founding board member… So pretty much that means you will probably get sick of me talking about the Fringe festival, lol.
Anyways, it’s about that season again… every June we start working on the festival by accepting applications starting on June 1st and for 5 months a small group of dedicated volunteers work hard to gather together the coolest weirdo performance artist fest you’ve ever seen!
To get the season started right, the Classic City Fringe Festival presents a special fundraising “mini-fringe” event as a preview into what we will be bringing you in October. Don’t miss the “Classic City Fringe Festival Presents: PHANTASMAGORIA” performance at 7pm on Saturday July 21st, at The Cellar Theatre in UGA’s beautiful Historic Fine Arts Building located on the UGA campus in the heart of Athens GA!
PHANTASMAGORIA is an acclaimed Victorian/Steampunk/Horror storytelling troupe from Orlando FL who, now teaming up with their all new Atlanta members for a small cast mini-show, are sure to enchant and entrance!
PHANTASMAGORIA will explode onto the stage with its haunting and whimsical stories of horror, “Phantastical” dance and enthralling storytelling. Join this evocative troupe of storytellers, dancers, and chorus as they embark on adventures through well loved tales of terror from the likes of: Edgar Poe, Charles Dickens, and Longfellow – all told in their signature brand of storytelling! Come enjoy a taste of the “Whimsically Macabre” with a troupe that has been called “One of the most unique theater troupes in the country” by Good Day Atlanta!
